Our second 2023 stay in Malta.

And this time we did bring friends; 3 of them actively, and the other two had booked a Malta holiday at the same time – simply by chance!

We did have a lot of fun during our one week together: A PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience for Heidi and Anja, a full PADI Open Water Diver Course for Natascha; a Segway Tour and Clean Up with Gozo Segway, a Kayaking Tour with Gozo Adventures; plus some sightseeing, great food & drinks and much more! And of course, by participating in / booking these activities through our partners we all automatically collected money for Back to Life. #HavingFunByDoingGood #EcoWarriors

After Nati, Anja, Heidi, Christian and Reiko had left; the real work started for Carmen and myself, as we continued with our Divemaster Internship with Franca and Martin at Netunes Diving Malta, and yes, they surely made us work. This time we completed our very first Open Water Course Assist, did a lot of the required scenarios and most of the swims. But in between we of course insisted on squeezing in some much needed fun dives with Cresta Dive Centre. Needless to say we never went to bed later than 22:00.

After those 3 weeks we felt in better shape than 10 years ago, terrible exhausted but proud and happy and we’re happy to announce, that we are about half-way through the course, so do bring on 2024! #DiveMastersInTheMaking_2

As for the fundraising, thanks to the amazing discounts by our partners and direct donations by some friends in Malta and online donations by supporters back home, we were able to transfer an amazing total of €966 to Back to Life after our return!
